SLAIN gangster Kevin ‘Gerbil’ Carroll’s partner had a shoplifting rap binned by prosecutors.
Kelly ‘Bo’ Green, 40, — daughter of late crime boss Jamie Daniel — was due to go on trial over alleged stolen goods but the charges against her were dropped.
The mum-of-three, who has previous convictions for shoplifting, was nabbed over alleged incidents between May 3 and May 16 2018.
She also faced a charge of dangerous driving. But when the trial was due to call at Dumbarton Sheriff Court, it emerged prosecutors have decided not to proceed with the case against her.
Fourteen men & women charged in connection with ‘Glasgow paedophile ring’ after major police probe
Feared Daniel gang associate Carroll, 29, died in a hail of 13 bullets ten years ago as he sat in an Audi outside Asda in Robroyston, Glasgow.
In 2014, Green admitted nicking gear worth £800 from Glasgow Fort shopping mall.
A spokeswoman for the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service said: “The Procurator Fiscal received a report relating to a 38-year-old female and incidents said to have occurred between 3rd and 16th May 2018.
“After careful consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case, including the available admissible evidence, the Procurator Fiscal decided that there should be no proceedings taken at this time.
“The Crown reserves the right to proceed in the future should further evidence become available.”
We told how masked men slaughtered Gerbil with a hail of 13 bullets in 25 seconds as he sat in the back of a black Audi — hitting him in the head, hands, jaw, chest and groin.
Murderer Billy Paterson, 39 — part of the rival Lyons gang — was caged for at least 22 years in 2015.
We previously revealed how Ross Monaghan, 38, and Victor Gallagher, 43, suspected of being members of the kill squad have gone into hiding.
The pair — who had been staying in Glasgow following the hit outside the supermarket on January 13, 2010 — apparently fell off the radar last year and haven’t been seen since.
Paterson’s close pal Monaghan — who was shot outside a city primary school in January 2017 — had been accused of the killing. But his trial collapsed in 2012.
A change in double jeopardy laws — which prevented a suspect being prosecuted twice for the same crime — means he could now be retried if new evidence emerges.
A police spokeswoman said: “Homicides are kept under review and are subject of inquiries from time to time.
“Any new information about the death of Kevin Carroll will be thoroughly investigated.”
Gerbil’s murder was the culmination of a decade-long war between the Lyons and Daniel gangs.
