COWES floating bridge has been suspended this afternoon (Wednesday, December 28), due to the wind and tidal conditions.
The floating bridge was seen struggling to land in Cowes this lunchtime as conditions continued to worsen.
A spokesperson from Isle of Wight Council said: “Unfortunately it is not possible to provide a foot passenger launch either due to the high tide.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
The service is expected to resume at 5pm.
