A police officer in India carried out life-saving CPR on a snake. Viral video of the incident, recorded in Madhya Pradesh on Oct 24, exhibits the officer giving the reptile mouth-to-mouth.
According to native stories, the snake had ingested pesticides in a neighborhood water system. It was launched safely again into the wild following its rehabilitation.
Per Reuters, the policeman, recognized as Atul Sharma, has been rescuing snakes ‘since 2008 and has allegedly saved over 500 of them so far.’
