A four-foot long Tegu lizard that ‘can run like a T. rex’ is on the loose in Cumbria.
The reptile, called Echo, got away on Sunday after digging through her cage in the Workington location.
Owner Siobhan Harkness, of Pet Encounter Cumbria, said Echo is most likely to escape and might whip complete strangers with her tail if terrified.
The black and white Tegu is said to be amongst the most smart types of lizard and is possibly ‘concealing in plain website’, Ms Harkness said, per BBC News.
Tegu lizards are belonging to Central and South America however their easy-going personality make them a popular option for family pet owners.
Speaking to BBC Radio Cumbria, Echo’s owner said the ‘huge lizard’ got away despite the fact that she was left ignored for simply 20 minutes.
