Usually speaking, American fighter jets do not head out of their method to impress onlookers with elaborate color pattern, and the majority of the time they choose a shade of blue called dark azure, however primarily viewed as some sort of dull grey.
Less noticeable in the skies above America and in the news than state the Navy’s Blue Angels and the U.S. Flying Force (USAF) Thunderbirds, the Viper Presentation Group does show off a special paint plan on its sole F-16 Battling Falcon.
The airplane is nicknamed by this little group Venom, and uses a color gown created to reproduce the scales of a snake. These painted functions can be found in black, balanced out by yellow main markings and a set of similarly yellow eyes slapped on each side of the nose, right under the canopy.
The paint task was revealed back in 2019 for the 2020 air program season, implying lots of Americans got to experience it in the sky ever since. It’s skeptical though much of them came as near it as this recently-released USAF picture permits.
The image was snapped at completion of September, when the airplane was flying out of the Shaw Flying Force Base in South Carolina and fulfilled high up with a KC-135 Stratotanker flying out of Altus Flying Force Base for a refueling op.
Offered how this year’s air program season is over, this is most likely the last opportunity you’ll get to take pleasure in the Viper Demonstration Group F-16 Venom in such a posture. The last trip of the group remained in mid-November in Stuart, Florida, and in the meantime, the calendar for next year is not understood.
