Two big pythons are on the free in an unique beachside suburb after the animals had been dumped by a lady’s ex-boyfriend following a bitter breakup.
The lady posted to the Coogee and Randwick Local Loop group Facebook web page on Wednesday begging for assist to search out her beloved 2.5m snakes – even providing a reward.
‘My s**** ex threw a tantrum after I broke up with him and dumped my beautiful hand-reared pet pythons out in a match of anger (on Mount Street in Coogee),’ she wrote.
‘I’m actually scared for his or her security, so please if anybody has seen them let me know… they’re fairly candy and do not chunk.’
‘The brown one is named Bagel and the albino is named Mango.’
Both animals aged 5 and 6, have been with Ms Dodson since they had been born and may very well be liable to the risks of the wild.
The snakes are native to Australia however usually are not native to the Sydney area.
Under the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016, ‘a person who, with out authority, liberates in New South Wales any animal (apart from a captured protected animal) is responsible of an offence’.
NSW Police instructed Daily Mail Australia they aren’t conscious of this incident and it has not been reported.
