OVERLAND PARK, KS/ ACCESSWIRE/ November 30, 2022/ TortoiseEcofin today revealed that PBF Logistics LP (NYSE: PBFX) will be eliminated from the Tortoise MLP Index ® ( TMLP ), and the Tortoise North American Pipeline Index SM (TNAP), as an outcome of the authorized merger with PBF Energy Inc (NYSE: PBF). As part of the deal PBF will obtain all of the exceptional typical systems representing minimal partner interests of PBFX it does not currently own efficient December 1, 2022. Due to the acquisition, PBFX will be eliminated from both indices at market open on Thursday, December 1, 2022.
For Tortoise MLP Index ® ( TMLP ), PBFX will be eliminated with an unique rebalancing. PBFX will be dropped from Tortoise North American Pipeline Index SM (TNAP) without unique rebalancing.
Unique rebalancings in each of TMLP and TNAP are set off by business actions such as mergers, personal bankruptcies, liquidations, and conversions in which the resulting weight of a single constituent goes beyond the index’s 7.5% limit and the target constituent weight goes beyond specific weighting limits. Execution of unique rebalancings will be made in accordance with existing methods.
