Three dwell snakes have been found in a glasshouse at Glasgow Botanic Gardens after being dumped by an “irresponsible individual”.
Authorities have been alerted to the “distressing” incident after employees made the invention on the gardens within the West End of town on Monday afternoon.
A spokesperson for the council confirmed that preliminary sightings of the snakes triggered misery earlier than a member of employees with information of the animals recognized them as “non-venomous corn snakes”.
The Scottish SPCA was referred to as to the scene and an in depth search took place earlier than the snakes have been captured.
The council spokesperson mentioned that the “alarming” incident was attributable to one “irresponsible” individual who has dumped the animals in one of many glasshouses.

“The preliminary sightings triggered misery, however fortunately, we’ve got a member of employees with information of and expertise with snakes who shortly recognized them as non-venomous corn snakes.
“The snakes were quickly captured after an extensive search and the SSPCA was called.”
The Scottish SPCA has been contacted for remark.
