On March 9, modder SellFace launched Lost and Damned (opens in brand-new tab), a single-player mod for Half-Life 2’s age-old Source engine. It’s a saucy, enjoyable tribute to Resident Evil that jumbles the 2 video games up in such a way that offered me whiplash (in an excellent way), and perhaps the most unexpected thing here is SellFace’s pitch-perfect set cam gameplay.
Are you even expected to be able to do that in the Source engine? SellFace nails the flash cut point of view shifts of an old Resident Evil, with your view of a scene considerably altering as you move through a room. It’s brought by a quite strong application of tank controls too, all mapped to keyboard and mouse.
