KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. – A South Carolina trooper took a break from preventing crime to wrangle a four-foot lengthy snake from a lady’s automobile on the aspect of an interstate.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol mentioned Mary Alice Simmons was driving her automobile on Interstate 20 in Kershaw County to the auto store when she noticed the snake slithering throughout the floorboard of the passenger seat.
She remained calm and pulled over to the aspect.

“I positively freaked out. I’m shocked I didn’t wreck!” Simmons instructed authorities.
Sergeant Jonathan Oxandaboure responded to the incident.
“It was one thing completely different, so we had been going to have a very good time,” Oxandaboure mentioned.
By the time he arrived, the snake had made its solution to the dashboard.
Oxandaboure grabbed the snaked with one hand behind the snake’s head and the opposite on the tail.
“This trooper needed to be a very good ole nation boy,” Simmons mentioned of Oxandaboure. “He reached in there, grabbed that snake, and pulled him proper out prefer it was a cute little kitten.”
The trooper then launched the snake right into a swamp close to his workplace.
Meanwhile, Simmons instructed authorities she wished to drive the automobile. She traded her automobile that day for a more recent mannequin.
“They had been very light-hearted and had a very good humorousness,” she mentioned of the officers. “Those troopers had been superior!”
