What began with one snake called “Naners” on the Fourth of July has actually grown out of control into a circumstance out in Ross Township due to the fact that cops there are asking folks to help them discover … more snakes.
It’s not something you see every day and there most likely won’t be a great deal of folks leaping to the front of the line to head out on the Municipal Center premises there and subjugate the bushes to discover the other snakes.
It all began Tuesday night, with fireworks in the air, as cops published to Facebook a couple pictures of the big snake — now called “Naners” — that they discovered at a ball park at Ross Community Park.
The snake seems some sort of yellow python.
Now it appears that it wasn’t alone.
In a post to its Facebook page Friday, the Ross Township cops said that an examination into the release of the python figured out that an overall of 5 snakes were launched by the owner.
Four of those snakes are still unaccounted for.
So, the cops asked that if anybody in the location of the Municipal Grounds sees a 7-foot brendil python, a 7-foot rat snake and 2 juvenile ball pythons, which are approximated to be about 1.5 feet long.
The good news is those snakes are not poisonous.
Anyway, cops are asking anybody who stumbles upon them to stay away from them anyhow and to call 9-1-1.
