Three dwell snakes have been found dumped in a glasshouse within the Botanic Gardens, leaving workers “distressed”.
Glasgow City Council confirmed the snakes have been discovered within the west finish gardens on Monday afternoon after they have been deserted by an “irresponsible individual”. The animals have been all recovered by the Scottish SPCA and are actually of their care.
The council added {that a} member of workers with expertise with snakes recognized them as non-venomous corn snakes.

A spokeswoman for the native authority mentioned: “An irresponsible individual precipitated alarm to workers on the Botanic Gardens by dumping three dwell snakes in one of many glasshouses.
“The initial sightings caused distress, but luckily, we have a member of staff with knowledge of and experience with snakes who quickly identified them as non-venomous corn snakes. The snakes were quickly captured after an extensive search and the SSPCA was called.”
