BOISE, Idaho (KIFI) – The Idaho State Department of Agriculture (ISDA) continues quagga mussel remedy in an effort to eradicate the invasive species within the Snake River.
On Tuesday, Oct. 3, ISDA and contractors launched a complete remedy plan to eradicate quagga mussels in any respect levels of life. The remedy is the copper-based product, Natrix. Natrix is labeled and authorised by the Environmental Protection Agency for these sorts of aquatic functions.
The remedy is being utilized at one half per million, a price supposed to eradicate mussels in any respect levels of life however is under the consuming water normal for people. The copper-based remedy software is happening throughout a six-mile part, lower than one p.c of the Snake River.
