Contractor HME Construction of Vancouver, Wash., continues to make great development on the lower Snake River digging up job in Idaho.
The Army Corps’ Walla Walla District and the professional started the Snake River digging up campaign on January 5, 2022. According to USACE, work will conclude by March 1, prior to the spring fish runs.
The work is being done to preserve the federal navigation channel at the confluence of the Snake and Clearwater rivers near Lewiston, Idaho and downstream of Ice Harbor Dam.
All dug up sediment is being dealt with at an in-water place near Bishop Bar (north coast) situated at River Mile 118 on the lower Snake River in Washington.
The last time these 2 locations were dug up was from December 2014 to March 2015.
