One of Sheffield’s primary routes throughout the Pennines has been closed due to snow.

The A57 Snake Pass has been closed by Derbyshire County Council due to the climate this rmorning, and is one in all a variety of roads that the authority has shut immediately.

It mentioned in a press release: “We have now closed the A57 Snake Pass, A537 Cat and Fiddle and A53 Buxton to Leek due to snow. “

“We’ve a snow plough on the way in which to the Taddington bypass on the A6 to start out clearing the snow there.”

The council had earlier warned of snowy circumstances in that space.

Snow had been forecast final evening on the best areas of Sheffield, however the snow what was seen this morning is known to not have caught.
