Weird But True
This getaway took a frightening — and slithery — turn.
A man in Australia called a snake catcher to let him understand his spouse drew up among the poisonous animals in a vacuum.
The set was at a resort in Queensland and employed the help of Drew Godfrey of Hervey Bay Snake Catchers to, initially, eliminate the reptile from their room.
Later, the hubby called back with a stunning update — his spouse had actually already captured the animal, by vacuuming it.
“He called back quickly saying not to worry because his wife had vacuumed it up,” Godfrey informed Newsweek.
“I explained that they are protected species and it would be cruel and illegal to leave it in there. They understood and were happy for us to come out.”
When Godfrey got to the hotel, he discovered the vacuum on the patio with a plastic bag around its nozzle to avoid the snake’s escape.
In a video the business published on Facebook, Godfrey is seen opening the vacuum and eliminating the extractor bag, where the snake, which was “was unharmed, just a little dusty and confused” was caught.
He quickly launched it in a close-by bushland, far from individuals.
“So just when you think you’ve seen it all in this job, someone calls you and says their wife has sucked a snake up with the vacuum cleaner,” the business said in the post.
The animal was a hatchling yellow-faced whip snake, which is poisonous, however ruled out unsafe to human beings.
“I’ve been envenomated three times by these snakes,” Godfrey informed the outlet. “It’s like a bee sting.”
