The minute a snake catcher was almost bitten by a poisonous and “saucy” reptile has actually been recorded on video.

The little yet fatal red-bellied black snake — typically found in eastern Australia — is seen in the video attempting to get away through the fence of the family’s back shed. Stu then selects it up with the help of a hook while holding it’s tail with his hand.

As he’s standing back up, the wriggling snake argues and begins wiggling around prior to “head butting” the snake catcher’s finger.

“This saucy little thing head-butted my finger… closest call I’ve had in a bit,” he says minutes later on when launching the snake into the bush. “Off you go Mr Cheeky,” he passionately said, in spite of having such a close call with the poisonous animal.
