“Often the bigger they are, the calmer they become,” Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7 wrote on Facebook, sharing footage of an enormous carpet python being taken from a backyard in Deagon, Queensland.
This video reveals the python’s enormous dimension dawning on the Queensland residents because it stretches out alongside a fence.
When snake catcher Brandon Gifford arrives, the python is perched in a grove of bamboo, and Gifford fearlessly plunges his fingers within the greenery to fish the massive reptile out.

BRANDON GIFFORD: Well, good day, guys, and welcome to Deagon. We obtained a carpet python that is been shifting by way of the backyards across the dogs. She’s attempting to determine the place she’s going in the intervening time.

– Oh, my god, you might be fearless.
BRANDON GIFFORD: [INAUDIBLE] an enormous woman. Oh, take a look at the dimensions of her.

She’s large. So she’s been going by way of all of the backyards. And– and he or she’s lastly discovered her approach into this bamboo clump, which is a pleasant access– oh, sorry [INAUDIBLE]– a pleasant accessible place for us. She’s an enormous snake, is not she? She’s obtained a fantastic head on her. But she’s extremely fairly, too.
– Wow, she likes you.
BRANDON GIFFORD: Obviously, we do not need her anyplace close to the pets. So we’ll transfer her away out into the bush however very, very fairly. You’re a great sized woman. She’s, clearly, been feeding and having a fantastic life thus far. She would not seem like she’s obtained a scratch on her. Oh, there you go, sweetheart. OK, effectively, we’ll put her into the bag. Otherwise, she’s simply going to take off. [INAUDIBLE]
– Oh, my gosh. Oh, your girlfriend’s calling, Alicia.
BRANDON GIFFORD: Oh, is she? Yeah.
– Yeah.

BRANDON GIFFORD: [INAUDIBLE] doing every little thing with one hand. [INAUDIBLE] I will not draw consideration to it. I’ll choose this up. It would simply be on the spot everybody sees [INAUDIBLE]. But, yeah, [INAUDIBLE]. She’s fairly, is not she?
– She’s actually cute. She was a cheeky factor, stored getting away from me.
BRANDON GIFFORD: No marvel you did not need her within the yard with the dogs.
– No.
