If you walked or cycled previous the Les Magnusson Park in Steinbach this summer season, you’d have observed an extended line of painted rocks.
This began as a homeschool challenge that shortly turned a neighborhood effort as folks joined within the enjoyable by including their very own painted rocks, rising the snake to roughly 113 ft.
Marianne Hildebrandt and her grandchildren began the snake with rocks they painted.
Throughout the summer season, she observed folks of all ages have been on this challenge.
“They would mention about coming and painting a rock, or I would be in the park and people would walk by, and they’d be looking at it, very interested in it. Or I would see other people come and actually put rocks in.”
The rock snake grew to round 113 ft.
It has been cleaned up for the winter and can return in spring.
Hildebrandt says it is going to be attention-grabbing to see how lengthy the snake will develop subsequent 12 months, suggesting it’d attain Stonebridge Crossing.
