A pet snake was reunited together with his proprietor after escaping into the wild for a yr in Glasgow.
Emett the corn snake was handed into the SPCA’s Glasgow Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre on October 2, after going lacking final yr when he was a child.
The reptile was reunited together with his proprietor after being present in a residential space of Airdrie.
The Scottish SPCA stated it was “amazing” that he managed to outlive on his personal outdoors for a yr.
Centre assistant supervisor, Rachel Mansfield, stated, “We put out a publish on social media and managed to reunite the snake, named Emett, together with his proprietor.
“We have been shocked when the proprietor revealed he had been lacking for a yr!
“As Emett was only a tiny child after they obtained him, he had managed to get out via a small hole. Snakes are infamous escape artists and may usually squeeze via a lot smaller areas than you would possibly assume.
“It’s superb that this snake has managed to outlive outdoors for a yr via completely different temperatures and adjustments in climate – in addition to consuming goodness is aware of what.
“Since being home Emett has enjoyed a nice bath, a good meal and had a good full shed too.”
