A passenger was allegedly bitten by a snake on a Madurai-bound practice on Monday, police right here mentioned.
The incident occurred on the Madurai-Guruvayur Passenger Express on Monday morning.
The passenger, recognized as Karthik from Madurai, received down at Ettumanoor station and shifted to the Medical College Hospital, they mentioned. The snake allegedly bit the passenger whereas he was touring within the sixth bogie.
The preliminary conclusion is that the person was bitten by the snake from beneath his seat.
“He is just not severely injured. His situation is secure,” a railway police officer mentioned.
His co-passengers mentioned in addition they noticed the snake beneath the seat.
The practice was stopped for 10 minutes at Ettumanoor station following the incident.
