The Xcerts
The Xcerts utilize brand-new single ‘GIMME’ to indicate a renewal. The band’s cult launching album ‘In The Cold Wind We Smile’ landed back in 2009, and they’ve strolled their own course since. A substantial live act – especially in their native Scotland – The Xcerts stay a devoutly independent proposal.
Now they’re all set to compose their next chapter. Freshly signed to Australian independent label UNFD, they’ve tattooed a brand name brand-new around the world multi-album record agreement. Frontman Murray Macleod remarks…. “We’re over the moon to have joined the UNFD family. It’s perhaps the first time in our career we have signed with a label who are as passionate about the band as we are. We feel very fortunate to be taken on by such a brilliant and versatile company this deep into our career.”
It all starts with brand-new single ‘GIMME’, an intensely appealing, wonderfully punchy return. Bursting out of the traps, it’s all energy and bold, the piledriver chorus staying lodged in your head for hours later on. A band who are constantly raising their aspirations, ‘GIMME’ reveals that The Xcerts have their eyes on the reward. The group explain…
“It’s been too long since we last released new music and we wanted to reintroduce ourselves with a rebirth of sorts. ‘GIMME’ is our most bombastic piece of work, sonically and musically, so it felt like the perfect introduction to the new era. Unapologetically in your face and written with complete artistic freedom. Lyrically, it’s more observational than gut-wrenchingly personal; when burning desire meets apathy, it’s both comical and pitiful, which makes for one hell of a scene.”
Tune in now…
SNAKE EYES
Snake eyes’ appreciable noise is supercharged, having actually already mastered the intense choruses, grungy riffs and appealing yelping brit-pop perceptiveness. Aptly created by the band as ‘grit pop’. Alongside primarily positive music, heffy’s lyrics hold the significance of being kind and the liberty to express yourself no matter who you are.
The visuals produced by the band’s own Thomas Coe-Brooker, accompany the music with a story – constantly pleasing visually with their scrappy, vibrant, sentimental design – believe Wolf Alice, Nirvana, Blur and The Pixies.
Jim, Nicole and Brooker came out of lockdown starving to slog away at as lots of live programs as they could. We have only simply scratched the surface area of what the Brighton three-piece can as they intend to get the word out of grit pop all over.
ANIMAL SEMETARY
Oxford based Petsematary take a darker check out the Ethereal, combing skyrocketing vocals with dreamy distorted soundscapes. Stream their brand-new single ‘Get Away With It’ HERE.
