The yellow python was noticed in Harwood Street, West Bromwich, at round 1.30am this morning (Tuesday, September 5) by a shocked member of the general public who known as police.
The RSPCA was unable to attend so courageous police response officers stepped in to detain the reptile, which was put right into a police van.
An image shared by police reveals three officers restraining the snake.
A power spokesperson mentioned: “Our officers will not be simply rattled on the subject of responding to uncommon calls as we cope with an enormous number of incidents.
“Just after 1.30am this morning we obtained a name from a member of the general public {that a} 12 foot yellow python was slithering on Harwood Street, West Bromwich.
“While RSPCA colleagues would normally deal with this example they weren’t in a position to attend as a result of time of the decision so a few of our courageous response officers stepped in.
“We managed to soundly rescue the snake and get it into our van with out too many slips and slides.
“The snake was then transferred to a close-by veterinary hospital for in a single day care.”
