A star of I’m a Celebrity…. Get Me Out Of Here! Australia got bitten by a big snake on live television in a stunning minute on the program.
Nick ‘The Honey Badger’ Cummins, 35, an Australian previous expert rugby union gamer, might be seen pressing his hand into a cage which contained a big snake which madly locked its jaws around the sportsperson’s hand.
The clip was seen in a trailer launched on Tuesday to tease the next episode of the program, and Nick can be seen gritting his teeth and grimacing as the massive snake then covered itself around his hand and lower arm.
A voiceover can be heard stating: “Could you do this? Tonight The Honey Badger handles a snake.”
Shocked fans hurried to discuss the video, with one stating: “OMG! Thats strong!!! I hope he’s okay,” whilst another said: “Why isn’t anybody actioning in?”
I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! Australia is shot in Kruger National Park, South Africa, with this season being hosted by Chris Brown and Julia Morris.
Nick isn’t the very first candidate on the program to be bitten by a snake as, in 2021, previous Bachelor star Abbie Chatfield was likewise.
After putting her hand into a box and getting bitten by a non-venomous snake, she fell to the floor in distress, crying and screaming.
She shouted: “Ahhhh, it’s biting me, biting me, biting me,” as a snake expert rushed over to prise her hand away from the reptile.
“Just keep calm Abbie, it’s okay. Hold my hand,” the program’s host Dr. Chris Brown said as he desperately tried to comfort her.
On the same series of the show, actress Toni Pearen, was repeatedly bitten on the face by a snake during one of the challenges.
She had been tasked with sticking her head into a perspex box filled with pythons, before a particularly angry one launched itself at her face numerous times.
Understandably, the E Street actress became extremely distressed as she kept sobbing and yelling, repeating: “Oh my god.”
After being released from the box, the star bent over and shook uncontrollably.
Meanwhile, a special version of the UK program is soon set to grace our screens, as some of the biggest stars from the last 20 years of the series come back together for an all-stars episode.
