Govier briefly left the snake to get a shovel and a rake from the garage, per the outlet. The FedEx driver returned and killed the snake, and even tidied up the mess. He then left an unique text for the property owner about the wild experience.
“I hope you didn’t have a pet rattlesnake at your front door because I killed him,” Govier said in the text, according to Jones’ Facebook post.
“Sorry about the blood,” he included a 2nd message.
