A fuel engineer putting in a wise meter had the fright of his life at work – when he stumbled throughout a snake. Rashad Khan had been known as to an tackle in Mulgrave Street, Cobridge, to suit the brand new know-how.

The dad-of-three, 40, mentioned: “When I first noticed it I believed it was a toy. You can get youngsters leaving toys round.

“The face of it seemed fairly scary. I tapped it to see if it was a toy or not however it crunched. I wasn’t having any of it. I jumped again after which spoke with the client. Even although it was lifeless I didn’t wish to go close to it.

“I told them, ‘There’s a snake in there’, they said ‘There isn’t!’. I showed her, I knocked it with one of my tools and I jumped and she jumped too. There was swearing and it was all going off. It was a proper snake and it was dead!”
