In solely a matter of days earlier than St Patrick’s Day, a snake was sighted close to the tracks at Kent Station in Cork, leaving workers astonished.
The incident was reported by Colm, an Irish Rail employee, this Tuesday and he spoke of the encounter in an interview with PJ Coogan on Cork’s 96FM opinion line.
Speaking on the present, Colm stated that his colleague Siobhán noticed the serpent and he shortly captured the footage. “It appeared like a bit of fabric from the place we had been first,” the Cork man stated.
According to Colm, he noticed the orange/brown snake and returned to the situation in an try and relocate it to Fota Wildlife Park. However, upon his return, the reportedly three-foot lengthy reptile had shortly left the world.
“We had nothing on us to select him up,” he stated. “We did not know if he was harmful or not. We thought he may need been a corn snake however we could not make sure”.
“We went to get gloves and somewhat bag too put him into,” added the rail employee, “but sadly we could not discover him after we went again down.”
Colm agreed with PJ that the reptile should have been a misplaced pet. “We frantically tried to search for him as he will not survive on this climate, they want a heat local weather” he assured.
When requested by PJ if the snake was aggressive, Colm added: “No, he was extra frightened I believe. His head was up about two inches, his eyes, and he was type of staring at us. Then he determined to maneuver off.”
A member of the Fota Wildlife Park crew was stated to have been contacted to convey the snake to security, nevertheless, it was not situated on the time.
Dubbed “a reasonably little lad” by PJ, one other voice chuckled: “You would not see too a lot of them in Cork, put it that means.”
