St Patrick could have chased the snakes out of Ireland, but it surely appears he’s left one behind, video taken lately by a employee in Cork exhibits.

Colm Twohig captured the weird second a brightly coloured serpent was noticed slithering close to a railway line within the famously snake-free nation on Monday, March 11.

“Came across a snake while working in Cork railway station,” Twohig instructed Storyful. “The snake was about three feet long.”

In an interview, James Hennessy, Zoo Director for the National Reptile Zoo, recognized the reptile as a corn snake, and mentioned it’s a quite common pet. Hennessy added that the snake is “totally harmless” and poses zero danger to the general public.
