There are obviously brand-new advancements in the suggested land swap in between the Rock Springs Ridge Homeowners Association Board (owners of the 51-acre gopher tortoise sanctuary on Kelly Park Roadway) and the Golf Group (owners of the RSR gold course lands), according to an e-mail sent out by Apopka Mayor Bryan Nelson.

Nelson sent out an e-mail to several addresses, consisting of Rock Springs Ridge locals, however he did not notify the city commissioners about the conference or the information of the upgrade.

In the e-mail, Nelson composes:.

” Topic: RE: Rock Springs Ridge Golf Course Purchase Proposition

” I want to get everybody together tomorrow at 5:30 AT Town hall to offer you the specifics of the “offer” in between the Golf Group and the HOA. I simply wish to make certain everybody has the truths as they stand today. If you want to welcome one extra individual that would be great however I do not desire a substantial crowd, it will make it unwieldy.”

Thanks and I anticipate an efficient conference.

Please RSVP to Stacy.

Bryan”

The e-mail begins the heels of the December 7th City board conference where Commissioner Nick Nesta asked Nelson to upgrade the Council on his December sixth conference with city authorities, the RSR HOA Board, and members of The Golf Group at Municipal Government. A conference that Nelson did not notify the commissioners about beforehand or throughout the conference up until asked.

” We’re attempting to put it together,” Nelson informed the commissioners at the conference. “We are getting near some sort of arrangement where the designer, or excuse me, the golf course owner with the (RSR) HOA, assembling an arrangement, and we must have something to take a look at … possibly by the end of the year. Essentially, absolutely nothing’s actually altered. It’s simply how we do it. It’s the 51 acres that they’ll establish in a swap for the golf course land. I believe there’s some cash to alter hands approaching the HOA. What we’re attempting to do is develop a preservation easement over a few of the golf course lands to reduce the turtles that are on the 51 acres.”.

The Apopka Voice called all 4 commissioners about the conference. Commissioner Kyle Becker, Nesta and Commissioner Diane Velazquez validated not being alerted. Commissioner Alexander Smith did not react to a text by the time this post was released.

This is an establishing story and will be upgraded as more information are understood.
