TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) — The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is looking for an agent to fill a job on the Upper Snake Basin Advisory Group (BAG).
The job representation is for Public at Large.
The Upper Snake BAG is consisted of residents, designated by DEQ’s director, representing stakeholder groups from 19 counties in southern Idaho. The BAG recommends DEQ on water quality goals within Idaho’s Upper Snake Basin and represents markets and interests straight impacted by water quality programs within the basin. The BAG satisfies as needed to recommend DEQ on the following matters:
- Priorities within the basin
- Revisions required in the designated useful usages for water bodies within the basins
- Categories to which water bodies in the basin need to be appointed
- Processes for establishing and executing overall optimum everyday loads
- Members to be designated to watershed advisory groups
- Water quality 319 nonpoint source concern tasks throughout the area
