An adolescent is recovering this morning after being bitten by a snake late yesterday in Aberdeen.
The 15-year-old was apparently swimming within the Hunter River behind the general public faculty when the japanese brown struck.
He was stabilised by NSW Ambulance paramedics.

A crew from the close by Aberdeen Fire Station then carried him up the steep embankment to the ready ambulance which rushed him off to hospital.
