Roberts invested about 6 years as an active rival in WWE prior to leaving in 1992. However, he went back to the business almost 4 years later on. During his 2nd run, the Hall of Famer shared the locker room with a number of younger super stars, consisting of Ahmed Johnson.
In a current interview with Cafe de Rene, a fan asked Roberts if he had “any good Ahmed Johnson stories.”
“There are no good Ahmed Johnson stories. Are you f**king joking me? [So, you two didn’t get along?] No. I attempted to help him and he simply, he blew me off man. You understand, Vince asked me to help him. I said, ‘all right, I’ll help him.’ So, I spoke with him one night and I said, ‘we’re going to indianapolis tomorrow. I’ll be at the building at 5:30. See you there.’ Never appeared,” he said.
The Hall of Famer revealed that Johnson did not even provide him a reason when he showed up later on.
“So, when he lastly did arrive, I said, ‘what occurred?’ He goes, ‘hey man, do not talk with me like that.’ I said, ‘what do you indicate do not talk with me like that? I simply asked you what occurred.’ He goes, ‘absolutely nothing f**king occurred. I get here when I f**king wish to.’ Excuse me. [He didn’t try to give you an excuse?] No, he didn’t provide a sh*t,” Roberts included. [18:09 – 19:06]

Ahmed Johnson had a backstage conflict with WWE legend The Rock
Jake “The Snake” Roberts was not the only WWE legend to have heat with Ahmed Johnson. The previous Intercontinental Champion likewise had a struggling relationship with other wrestlers, consisting of The Rock.
In an interview with the Pouding The Meat Podcast, Johnson resolved his heat with The Rock, remembering entering a heated argument with The Brahma Bull backstage.
“One time in the locker room, me and Rock entered an argument. (…) [What was the fight over between you and The Rock?] Well, we were arguing over generally our surface and, you understand, who was gonna do what in the ring. Back then, he wasn’t The Rock, you understand, he was Rocky Maivia ending up being The Rock. But it was generally, you understand, him not wishing to take my surface, me not wishing to take his surface. It was kinda backward and forward argument from there,” Johnson explained.
