The City of Poteet and Poteet Parks Foundation invited the neighborhood to the groundbreaking of the dog park recently at Maxwell Park. Located at Avenue E and sixth Street, the brand-new park will be around 81×127 feet and be separated into 2 areas for smaller sized and larger dogs.
A handful of people along with city authorities were on hand to witness Atascosa County’s very first dog park pertained to fulfillment. RAH Contracting, LLC was granted the quote to build the dog park which was completely moneyed by the Poteet Parks Foundation. Though the dog park was opposed by some, council member Nicholas Vasquez was identified to get it done. The dog park is simply among the tasks slated to be finished quickly by the City of Poteet together with the brand-new splash pad at Canyon Park.
“When they say it can’t be done, that only applies to them, not you,” said council member and Poteet Parks Foundation member Nicholas Vasquez.
