WOODBRIDGE — Authorities are investigating the horrific loss of life of a child in Middlesex County on Saturday.
Police bought a disturbing name from a home on Mereline Avenue in Woodbridge round 6:17 a.m. Saturday, in keeping with the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
The caller stated {that a} child within the home had been attacked by the household canine.
When officers arrived, they discovered the newborn and the mom had each been victims of a vicious canine attack.
The child was declared useless on the scene. The mom suffered “critical accidents” within the attack.
Both the mom and father had been taken to the hospital.
Authorities didn’t say what breed of canine was concerned within the attack. Anyone who has info is requested to contact MCPO Det. Michelle Coppola at 732-745-3477.
