HALL COUNTY, Neb. —
A Wood River man has been charged after he allegedly threw a canine from a transferring automotive final month.
David Henry, 38, is charged in Hall County Court with intentional cruelty to an animal – a category 3A felony.
According to an arrest affidavit, on Sept. 5, a Hall County Sheriff’s deputy contacted a girl at a Wood River residence who acknowledged Henry got here to her home after he was evicted. She mentioned Henry had his German Shepherd with him and he turned upset when she advised him he couldn’t have his canine there as she was not allowed to have dogs.
In that very same affidavit, it states the lady advised the deputy that Henry yelled at her earlier than driving away from the residence in a maroon sedan. She mentioned Henry later opened the motive force’s aspect door and threw the German Shepherd from the car whereas it was touring at roughly 30 MPH.
A witness advised the deputy she noticed Henry throwing the canine from the automotive and heard the canine yelp in ache. The affidavit says the canine then began operating after the car.
A warrant for Henry’s arrest was issued Friday. He has not been arrested as of Friday afternoon.
