Two females have actually been seriously hurt after a savage dog attack at a Williams Street property in Broken Hill the other day.

Barrier Police Detective Inspector Tom Aylett said the officers were required to shoot the dog.

Inspector Aylett said there was just one dog associated with the occurrence and wished to ensure locals there were no violent strays running around the city.
“That dog wasn’t a roaming dog, it was understood to the residents of that house,” he said.
Medical evacuations
Both victims were carried to Broken Hill Hospital the other day.
Inspector Aylett says the female in her 60s stays in healthcare facility in a steady condition and is being gotten ready for medical evacuation to Royal Adelaide Hospital.
