A dog from United States’ Louisiana has actually formally declared the record for the longest tongue on a living dog. Its tongue, longer than a soda can, is a massive 12.7 cm long, Guinness World Record said.
Zoey, a Labrador/German shepherd mix, was granted the record for the longest tongue on a living dog after a vet determined from the pointer of her snout to the pointer of her tongue. The prior record was held by Bisbee, whose tongue quotes at 9.49 cm.

Her owners, Sadie and Drew Williams got her when she was 6 weeks old. As a puppy, Zoey’s tongue utilized to often stand out of her mouth. The owners believed she would turn into it however as time went on individuals started to talk about the length of time her tongue was.
“We got Zoey when she was just 6 weeks old and in the first-ever photo we have of her, she has her tongue protruding,” Mrs Williams informed Guinness World Records.

”It would be slobbering all over the location. So at some point in 2015 we took her to the veterinarian and determined her tongue,” said Mr Williams.
Zoey enjoys being outdoors, bring balls, going after squirrels, car trips, and swimming in the canal. But, she dislikes getting in a bath.
The couple said Zoey is popular with next-door neighbors.
”Every once in a while while we’re out taking her on a walk, individuals will come near her and wish to pet her. We’ll alert them ahead of time ‘Hey, she gets along however she may slobber on you,’ and every once in a while she will, and they’ll have a huge slobber mark on their black trousers,” Drew Williams said.
