Two XL bully dogs have been seized after a 3rd canine was killed in an attack and its proprietor injured, Sussex Police say.
The canine which carried out the attack is reported to have escaped from a close-by property.
Sussex Police mentioned it occurred in Mackie Avenue, Brighton, East Sussex, about 20:20 BST on Saturday.
The two dogs which were seized are being held in a safe kennel whereas police search an order for his or her destruction.
Restrictions on the ownership of XL bullies make it unlawful to promote, give away, abandon or breed from them in England and Wales.
They should even be stored on a lead and muzzled in public.
It adopted a sequence of assaults on individuals and different dogs.
