Two dogs die and third severely ailing after consuming ‘white substance’

Two dogs have died and a 3rd is severely ailing after ingesting an “unknown white substance”.

Merseyside Police have cordoned off a park on Childwall Valley Road in Belle Vale this night after reports four dogs had fallen ill. Officers obtained a report at round 2pm on Monday from a veterinary surgical procedure, the place a variety of dogs had been admitted after ingesting an unknown substance.




It has now been confirmed by police that two of the dogs have died and a 3rd is severely ailing, whereas one other is constant to obtain therapy. Tests are being carried out to determine what the substance is and police stay within the space this night.

Residents dwelling reverse the cordon had been advised to maintain their home windows and doorways shut this night. Pedestrians are being suggested to keep away from the world whereas enquiries proceed to find out what the substance is and the way it acquired there. Police mentioned CCTV, house-to-house and witness enquiries are being carried out within the native space this night.

Chief Superintendent Jonathan Davies mentioned: “Whilst the incident is clearly of concern I would like the general public to be reassured that the matter is being handled and is underneath management. We would advise folks to keep away from the world as we search to determine what the substance is and the way it acquired there.

“Anyone who believes they were in the area and came into direct contact with the substance is advised to seek medical assistance if they believe they have suffered any ill effects. We would always advise anyone who comes across an unknown substance to not touch but to report it to police.”
