TUNICA CO., Miss. (WMC) – The medical professional and brand-new owner of a dog who was set on fire by a 12-year-old boy 2 years ago says Buddy has actually made a complete healing and is now happy and healthy.
Buddy was purposefully set on fire in Tate County in April 2021 and was discovered with his face badly burned and an extension cable twisted around his neck.
He went through 10 months of surgical treatments and a series of skin grafts at Mississippi State.
No charges were ever submitted.
His injuries influenced the passage of “Buddy’s Law,” which needs kids who abuse animals to go through psychological examinations in the State of Mississippi.
