TULSA, Okla. — Tuffie, the Tulsa St. Bernard, earned herself a nationwide award for her work as a remedy
canine.
The American Kennel Club selected Tuffie as a winner of the AKC Humane Fund Awards for Canine Excellence within the Therapy Dog class.
Tuffie has labored as a remedy canine with the Alliance of Therapy Dogs for seven years.
“She’s supplied help to a number of organizations throughout the larger Tulsa space, together with assisted dwelling facilities and reminiscence items, schools throughout examination instances, a facility for developmentally disabled youngsters and young adults, the Tulsa City/County Library’s Paws for Reading program, Tulsa International Airport’s Welcome Waggin’ program, the Laura Dester Children’s Center in Tulsa and the Champs Foundation in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma,” AKC stated in a press launch.
