The proprietor of a Tulsa canine grooming business has been charged in an animal abuse case.
Rebecca Rutherford owns Doggy Doodles Grooming.
One of her workers, Diego Angel, was arrested in September and charged with animal cruelty after surveillance confirmed him beating and choking the canine, who later died.
He’s pleaded not responsible.
Rutherford is now charged with accent to a felony and obstruction.
She mentioned although she was close by, she did not see what was taking place and did not know – till she noticed the video of a groomer beating a canine that in the end died.
“I don’t know how to fix it, I can just change the policy and start all over,” Rutherford mentioned.
Rutherford at first defended the groomer.
“I trusted that he was telling me the truth,” mentioned Rutherford.
But after seeing the tape, she regrets trusting his phrase.
“So what he did for his anger to progress to hit him like he did, I have no idea,” she mentioned.
