But this isn’t the one death involving a beloved pet because the physique of Amanda Richmond Rogers, 45, was discovered within the Eagle River final month in Anchorage, US.

Her husband, Brian Rogers described to KTUU that the mother-of-four is remembered as a ‘hero’.

He shared that Amanda had been swept underneath the ice after their canine, Groot, fell by means of as he was making an attempt to drink the water.

It was reported by her sister, Jennifer Richmond, that Amanda was discovered holding Groot’s body in her arms when authorities recovered her.
