Views are being looked for on whether beach restrictions on pet dogs along Suffolk’s coast need to be altered.
A variety of popular beaches, consisting of those at Felixstowe, Southwold and Lowestoft, have seasonal limitations governing when individuals can and can not take their family pets onto the coast – keeping the most popular locations without pet dogs throughout the hectic summertime.
The guidelines are consisted of in 13 Public Area Security Orders (PSPOs) handled by East Suffolk Council.
Now all 13 of the PSPOs, which were embraced in 2020, are being proposed for renewal with no change to existing limitations for an additional 3 years.

Felixstowe

Southwold
– Exemption of pet dogs from Southwold Beach

Lowestoft
– Exemption of Canines from Lowestoft Beach

– Pet dogs on Leads on Lowestoft Boardwalk
The order uses to Lowestoft upper boardwalk from the Claremont pier southwards to Kensington Roadway, and likewise to the Lowestoft lower boardwalk from south pier to its termination east of All Saints Roadway, Pakefield, day and night.
Corton
– Canines on Corton Beach

Uses to all land in the district which is open to the air and to which the general public is entitled or allowed to have gain access to, day and night.
