Dan, 45, was traipsing through Skipton Castle Woods in North Yorks with spouse Sue, 47, and 11-year-old Miniature Schnauzer Jenson.
He said: “We’d had a couple of day of rests from work and fancied a walk out.
“We were simply walking and it was a tree by itself that simply stood apart to me.
“As quickly as I saw it I relied on Sue and said, ‘God look at that face in that tree’.
“We both stood there for a 2nd and took a look at it and took the photo.
“It appears like a person with long hair, an indie rocker type of a person.
“It instantly reminded me of a rock star. It looked like Liam Gallagher!”
The bike sales assistant of Queensbury took a breeze and put it online, where others rather saw a few of Liam’s fellow artists, and even loved ones.
