Spencer, the beloved golden retriever who cheered on Boston Marathon runners for a number of years, will formally be immortalized together with his very personal statue this weekend.

A statue of Spencer might be added to the Boston Marathon course in honor of the canine, who was named the official canine of the 126th Boston Marathon in 2022.

The statue might be unveiled during an event in Ashland from 12-2 p.m. on Saturday, March 30.
