TEANECK, New Jersey (WABC)– In an unique interview with Eyewitness News, a mom states her 4-year-old child was left distressed after she and the kid were assaulted by a dog in New Jersey on Monday.
Khaleen Brown Anderson stated she had actually simply pulled into the driveway of a house on Voorhees Street in Teaneck prior to 3:15 p.m. and was taking her child, Abbey, out of a safety seat when she saw the dog adding the street.
She states the brown-haired pitbull added to them and assaulted.
” I turned her on the automobile and I run around the automobile. That thing began chasing me. (Trim) I needed to leap through my chauffeurs Side.(( tighten up)) it came through my automobile,” Brown Anderson stated. “There was absolutely nothing more I might do besides calling for help.”
Michael Policastro, a plumbing technician who was working close by, heard the turmoil and hurried over to help and had the ability to frighten the dog away.
” My very first response was to kick it in the ribs … took a look at me. I simply began chewing out it and it fled,” Policastro stated.
The mom and child were required to Englewood Medical facility for treatment.
Brown Anderson states her child was left distressed.
” She sobs in her sleep,” she stated.
The dog was taken and its owner, Jason Evans, who lives a couple of blocks away, was released 2 summonses for dog at big and registration of dog.
” We let the dog out to utilize the restroom and needs to’ve struck the lock. All I hope is we get the dog back and we will Take much better safety measures like put a padlock on eviction to keep her within,” Evans stated.
Authorities state this exact same dog assaulted a mailman in 2017 after Evans stated the postal employee opened his screendoor which let the dog out.
A judge will now identify what occurs with the dog.
