South Shropshire Hunt master Daniel Cherriman, aged 37, supervised of a hunt on National Trust land in the Long Mynd location of Church Stretton when the pet dogs captured fragrance of an animal. The fox was not killed, according to Cherriman’s legal agent.

Stephen Belford, mitigating, stated that Cherriman would likely “go through negative remarks for weeks, months and most likely years” from hunt saboteurs who would “rejoice” in his guilty plea.
