After a number of months, the Special Investigations Unit has cleared a provincial police officer in reference to a Midland man’s dying.
The director of the Special Investigations Unit, Joseph Martino, stated Tuesday he discovered no cheap grounds to imagine an Ontario Provincial Police officer dedicated a felony offence in reference to the dying of a 45-year-old man final November.
The civilian company, which investigates when folks die or are critically injured throughout police actions, says South Georgian Bay OPP responded to a gun-rated name involving two males in Midland on Oct. 13, 2023.
The police watchdog stated in a launch that officers tried to arrest the person after he brandished an obvious firearm at one other male.
