TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Two Sierra Vista ladies have actually been prosecuted in connection with a deadly dog attack months earlier.
Sierra Vista authorities verified Shimira Sanches, 43, and Ashlee Sanches, 35, were prosecuted recently on charges of murder, irresponsible murder, attack by a vicious animal and aggressive dog infraction.
According to the Cochise County Superior Court database, the ladies will be arraigned on Sept. 5.
Authorities said Helene Jackson, 84, was killed and Sam Sanches Jr., 55, was hurt in a dog attack on June 23.
The Sierra Vista Police Department said officers were contacted us to a home near Meadowlark Drive and Calle Del Norte.
When officers appeared, a dog was assaulting Sanches Jr. Sanches remained in the yard of a home in the location.
Officers killed that dog and assisted Sanches, who was carried to a Tucson health center in important condition.
Jackson was then discovered hurt in a street near the home. She was carried to a regional health center however passed away. Jackson’s dog was discovered dead near her body.
A 3rd dog then appeared and officers were required to eliminate it, according to the SVPD.
